Huawei Nexus 6 2015 News, Rumors: New Leaks Suggest that Device Will be Launched as a Phablet
Alongside its latest operating system Android M, Google is also busy updating its product lineup that will be using the new platform, especially on the search engine giant's wide assortment of Nexus devices. Latest rumors suggest that Google will be launching two editions of its Nexus smartphones this year, including a Nexus 5 made by LG Electronics and a larger model dubbed the new Nexus 6 made by Huawei.
During the past few weeks, tech enthusiasts saw several leaked images and information regarding the LG-made new Nexus 5 smartphone. However, there have been very few details about the Nexus 6 that is reportedly being made by Huawei. All this is likely to change now since information as well as leaks related to Huawei's version of a Nexus smartphone have begun making their rounds online.
Christian Today reports that the latest speculations, accompanied by leaked images, suggest that the new Nexus 6 by Huawei will have an all-metal chassis. The leaked photos posted by Google+ user Tiesen Fu shows that its description matches those leaked earlier about the Huawei device.
Speculations are rife that the form of new Nexus 6 will be somewhat different, having a bump close to the top of the back panel, due to a protuberance attributed to the smartphone's camera assembly. In fact, the shape of the smartphone's back panel also has a close resemblance to the leaked TPU cases that were leaked online in August. This has given rise to speculations that the camera of the new Nexus 6 itself has been placed separately from the phone's body. It is positioned at the top of the device alongside what appears to be a dual-flash and laser auto-focus sensor.
However, the leaked images did not offer any detail regarding the device's specifications. In addition, there are rumors that suggest that Huawei's Nexus 6 will be launched as a phablet, having either a 5.7-inch or a 6.0-inch Quad HD resolution with 2K video display, a revamped Snapdragon 810 chipset, and at least 3 GB of RAM.
