'House of Cards' Season 3 Release Date: Netlfix Possible Plot Lines and Premiere Date Revealed
'House of Cards', the political drama series from Netflix, is reportedly slated to make a comeback next year for its third season. According to recent reports, Season 3 has been scheduled to premiere in February of 2015, and Polish director Agnieszka Holland has been set to direct two episodes for the series' upcoming installment.
Lead actor Kevin Spacey, who portrays the role of Frank Underwood, recently divulged in an interview that the production for the series' new season has already started filming. Show runner Beau Williams vaguely hinted on what is to be expected of Spacey's character, detailing that Underwood is already past his original intent of securing the presidency and taking over the White House, inclined at suggesting that the politician has far greater plans, to say the least.
In the first and second seasons, the 'House of Cards' storyline was mainly centered on Underwood plotting his moves and techniques aimed at acquiring the White House's most coveted seat, despite the odds that he did not receive a single vote during the elections. In the upcoming season Underwood is likely to unravel his ulterior motives.
'House of Cards' is the American adaptation of a mini-series released by the British BBC which was based on the novel of the same name written by Michael Dobbs, ex-Chief of Staff to the English Conservative Party.
The Season 3 cast will include Kevin Spacey as the former congressman Francis Underwood, who won the presidency in the show's second season, Robin Wright as Underwood's conniving wife, Claire, and Michael Kelly as Doug Stamper, Underwood's consigliere.
