‘Halo 5: Guardians’ Release Date 2015; Xbox One Beta Test Set for December 2014

It has been confirmed that "Halo 5: Guardians', the newest version of the popular "Halo' game series, will be out on the Xbox One by the third or fourth quarter of 2015.

It has been reported that developer 343 Industries will launch its beta for the game this December. Although most beta tests are designed to gather input from gamers and improve the overall gaming experience of the finished product, the Washington-based company claims that this won't be a simple network test, but a real beta.

In an interview with Eurogamer, franchise developer director Frank O'Connor talked about what fans of the game can expect from the beta test and from "Halo 5: Guardians'.

"We'll be adding a lot of new things in Halo 5, but we want to talk to classic Halo fans about what makes a great Halo experience, and we think we're going to get a lot of data from them. And it's a real beta. Sometimes a beta is a good way to test performance on your network. We'll be looking at every aspect of how people play this, and we have a lot of time to actually take meaningful feedback." said O'Connor.

O'Connor also revealed that the beta test will help them determine how people will play the game.

"We're trying to mine it for all the data we can get. Not just network data or performance data. It's like, how are people playing? How are they adapting to the features? How are they dealing with the new weapons? There will be a huge a amount of data for us to look at." he concluded.
