'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Cast Rumors: Three Characters Added To Peter Quill's Crew

There are some interesting news updates for the cast of the upcoming Marvel film, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2." According to some reports, there will be three new characters that will sign up on Peter Quill's (Chris Pratt) group.

According to Geek.com, Yondu (Michael Rooker) will be one of the new members of the group. The last time we saw him was when he was tricked by Quill in the latter part of the movie.

He thought that Quill really gave him the infinity stone after defeating Ronan but upon opening the round container, he saw that the infinity stone was not inside, he saw a troll doll instead.

Oddly, it was also reported that Gamora's sister, Nebula (Karen Gillan), will be the second addition to the group. It's really strange since she's one of the bad guys in the first movie.

The last time we saw her was when she escaped the crashing ship in Xandar. Why would the team even have her in the group? Do they need her to get to Thanos or is she really a bad guy trying to get something out of the protagonists?

Finally, there will be a new character in the sequel, Mantis. Rumors say that she will be played by actress, Pom Klementieff.

Mantis is a telepath and an empath. She also has the power to control plant growth. She might be the one to bring "Baby Groot" back to his normal form.

There are still no updates on the journey that these guys will take. Will they go after Thanos this time? Will Peter Quill ever meet his father in the cinematic universe?

The second installment in the Marvel film series, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," is set to be released on May 5, 2017.
