'God of War 4' PS4 Release Date News: Fourth Installment End of Series? 'GoW 4' E3 2015 Showcase
It's been a while since the release of 'God of War: Ascension' on PlayStation 3, and franchise fans are talking about the release date of 'God of War 4' on PlayStation 4. Some sources expect that the game will be showcased at E3 2015 and be available for PS4 exclusively.
While it was rumored that Sony was going to announce the release date of 'God of War 4' for PS4 at the recently concluded E4 2014, that did not happen. Prior to the E3, an anonymous source had disclosed, "God of War 4 teasers are under development while the use of snippets and heavy cinematic expressions are expected."
In the meantime, fans of the series are speculating whether the fourth installment of the game would be the end of the popular series, because it is being rumored that this game will lead to the death of Kratos and his family.
According to the gaming website Cyberland, Kratos will fall at the hands of Thor in the next game and this would mark the end of the series. Another report, however, claimed that Sony may possibly come out with a fifth addition, but it is likely to be a prequel for the entire series, instead of a continuation.
While Sony has yet to make an official announcement regarding the release date of 'God of War 4', it is believed that the game will arrive within the next three years.
In the meantime, there are reports that 'God of War: Ascension' will be coming to the PlayStation 4.
