'Frozen 2' Release Date & Production Rumors: 'Strange Magic' Subtitle for Disney Blockbuster Sequel?
Rumor has it that the highest grossing Disney animated film, 'Frozen', is set to have a sequel. However, despite all the excitement from the fans about it, Disney has yet to officially confirm that a second movie is in the works.
Interestingly enough, Disney got their hands on a few domain names recently, they've registered: strangemagic-thefilm.com, strangemagic-themovie.com, strangemagicfilm.com and strangemagicmovie.com. Despite the speculation about this "Strange Magic" project, it has no confirmed connection to the universe of 'Frozen', at the moment.
All that is sure is that Disney has taken the domain name called "Strange Magic" which several news agencies speculate to be 'Frozen 2' although the phrase itself does not have any connection with the film's title. Meanwhile, others have guessed that "Strange Magic" may be a subtitle for the rumored sequel.
According to reports, "Strange Magic" was referenced twice in the film that's why fans are getting all hyped up. It has been reported that the phrase was first referenced by the Duke of Weselton when Elsa's powers were revealed, and the other from a 'Frozen' TV spot that aired in 2013 before the release of the film.
Some reports speculate that it is not possible for Disney to release 'Frozen 2' soon since the production team is busy with the Broadway musical 'Frozen Fever' which is anticipated to be released this coming 2015.
However, if reports are true about an upcoming 'Frozen 2', fans will be very glad since it will be interesting to know what happens next for the two sisters of Arandelle, Princess Anna, and Queen Elsa.
'Frozen' is a film about the relationship of the two Royal sisters and Anna's journey to stop the eternal winter that Elsa caused with the help of ice seller Kristoff, his reindeer and of course the cuddly friend Olaf. The film grossed $1.2 billion in a matter of weeks when it was released in 2013.
