Francesca Battistelli's new release If We're Honest, is currently in the top 10 list of Christian albums on iTunes. The singer stopped by Breathecast's studios in New York City to chat about her new album.

If We're Honest, was released on April 22. Its lead single, "Write Your Story," is currently No. 1 at Hot AC/CHR and AC. Battistelli is the best-selling new Christian music artist in the past 10 years.

The 28-year-old singer/songwriter just wrapped up the "The Bible: SON OF GOD Tour 2014" which ran March 20-April 13. She has been making her rounds in promoting the new record as well as being a wife and full time mother of two young children.

During her interview with Breathecast, Battistelli talked about the inspiration behind her album title, hit song, and why there is more worship on this record than she has had in past albums.

Her first two albums, My Paper Heart and her sophomore release Hundred More Years, hit No. 1 on Billboard's Christian Albums chart and garnered her a GRAMMY nomination and the 2011 Dove Awards' "Artist of the Year" honors. She is the only female vocalist in 21 years to claim the elite title of "Artist of the Year." The last female to win the award was Amy Grant in 1992.

The New York born, Battistelli, grew up in Florida and now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. She has had so much success during her career and revealed in the interview that she would be blazing a new trail for her future projects.
