Devious Maids Season 3 Renewal: Producers Remain Silent, Lead Roles Change TV Shows
Lifetime has not yet announced a 'Devious Maids' Season 3, and fans are getting concerned. Unfortunately, the creator of the series Marc Cherry and its producer Eva Longoria have been silent on the matter.
It only gets worse as some of the lead actors and actresses on the show have taken on new television series endeavors. Ana Oritz who plays Marisol, and Collin Woodell, who plays Ethan, have decided to look for work else where. This makes a 'Devious Maids' Season 3 even more unlikely.
Ana Oritz will be playing as a guest star in latest ABC series 'How to Get Away with Murder'. She might also be playing a recurring role in the series.
Stepping back towards the show, in Season 2, Marisol Suarez did not allow her newly married husband Nicholas Deering to escape his crime (Mark Deklin plays Nicholas Deering)
Ethan on the other hand, decided to leave Beverly Hills, which left his character with some closure compared to the other characters.
According to TVLine, Collin Woodell is set to join 'The Original' cast for Season 2. He will be playing as a werewolf named Aiden, and will enter the series in Episode 4.
Besides that, Rebeca Wisocky and Edy Ganem have voiced out their hopes for a renewed season of 'Devious Maids', Rebecca said, "I don't want to spoil the final for you, but I will say that the season leaves the Powells changed in a fundamental way. How they move forward from there will be a big question."
Meanwhile, Edy Ganem told Examiner, "You can't end it like that. So third season, please! I don't wan to die!"
All in all, only time will tell if the producers and Lifetime will decide to bring back 'Devious Maids' for Season 3.
