Daywind Music Adds Daywind Roots To Label; Focuses On Christian Classics, Country Songs
The Daywind Music Group on April 13 announced that Daywind Roots has been added to its music labels. Daywind president Ed Leonard explained, "Daywind Roots is designed to showcase classic artists performing new material."
The first undertaking by Daywind Roots is to produce for Shenandoah, the Grammy-award winning country group, known for "Church on Cumberland Road" and "Two Dozen Roses," which will release its first recording "Good News Travels Fast" on April 29 under the label.
"We are so excited to share Shenandoah's Gospel recording with the world, and we're looking forward to some great follow-up releases from this label," Leonard added.
"Good News Travels Fast" will be available for purchase at Christian retail stores across the U.S., and can be downloaded through iTunes and other online music websites.
In explaining the addition of Daywind Roots into the Daywind Music family, the press release said that the label "strives to fill a void left in Christian music. The rich, classic sounds of Christian, country and gospel artists that we know and love will be the foundation of this label; providing these timeless artists with a home to create new, quality music to be heard by fans around the world."
Apart from Daywind Roots, Daywind Music Group is also the umbrella for Daywind Records, Daywind Music Publishing, Daywind Studios, Daywind Soundtracks, Daywind Concert Series, DMG Concerts and daywind.com. It is a leader in performance tracks production and distribution.
