'Captain America: Civil War' Release Date, Trailer: Anthony and Joe Russo’s Film Will Be Marvel’s Best One?

Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War" is set to hit theaters in May and in line with this, one of its actors sees it as Marvel's best film to date.

Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon in the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War," shared his thoughts about the film as Marvel's best cinematic projects so far. In his interview with IGN to promote John Hillcoat's crime thriller film "Triple 9," Mackie said that "Captain America: Civil War" would be very different, as it would surpass "Captain America: Winter Soldier" and "Iron Man," Marvel's best Marvel films thus far.

For Mackie, Marvel had done a very good job with upping the ante every movie, adding that the Russos' upcoming film definitely did not fail to live up to that.

Marvel and the Russos have never been shy about raising things to a higher bar, with much at stake in "Captain America: Civil War," as per Screen Rant.

"Captain America: Civil War" centers on the release of the Sokovian Accords, which is bound to split the Avengers into two factions. Captain America is against the Accords and he is joined by Agent 13, Falcon, the Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, and Hawkeye. On the other hand, Iron Man leads the pro-Accords team, which includes Black Widow, Vision, War Machine, and Black Panther.

Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man are also set to appear in the film, but their exact roles in the film are unknown at this point. Thor and the Hulk are set to appear in Taika Waititi's upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok," following their appearance in Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron." In the later film, Thor went back to Asgard while the Hulk went to somewhere to be alone.

"Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6.
