'Captain America 3: Civil War' Release Date, Spoilers: New Spider-Man Expected to be Charming & Younger

In a recent interview, Marvel Entertainment president Kevin Feige shared some new details regarding the character of Spider-Man in the upcoming installment of Avengers titled 'Captain America 3: Civil War.' At the same time, Feige also commended Sam Raimi and Marc Webb's versions of the comic book superhero.

Latin Post quotes Feige during an interview promoting the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' release, "I think they did a lot of things really, really right, in particular the look of Spider-Man and the emotion of Spider-Man and the women in his life."

Marvel president went on to add, "But, I think there are a lot of things they haven't done, which is A) his interactions with other heroes in the universe because that was not possible and also exploring more the notion, as the comics did for many, many years, as Ultimate Spider-Man did for 10 years, [of] a much younger version of Spider-Man than we've seen in the movies. They get him in and out of high school really fast."

Feige further said that the character of Spider-Man in 'Captain America 3: Civil War' would be amiable and funny similar to all other characters created by Marvel thus far.

According to Feige, "The two previous film series didn't much show the notion that he is very, very funny and very, very witty when he's in that costume, swinging around. Not as a standup comedian, obviously, but as almost his nervous energy, bothering the criminals with banter as much as with his powers. That's something that I think we're excited to explore."

The report, however, says that Marvel has yet to announce a standalone 'Spider-Man' film or named the actor who will portray the character. On the other hand, the studio has announced that the new 'Spider-Man' will be younger compared to the previous roles portrayed by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.

Currently, Asa Butterfield of 'Hugo' fame is the front-runner to portray Spider-Man. Other actors in contention include Tom Holland ("The Impossible") and Liam James ("The Way Way Back").

Meanwhile, 'Captain America: Civil War' is slated for released on May 6, 2016.
