'Ant-Man' Spoilers, Rumors: Will Spider-Man Be Mentioned in the Film?

'Ant-Man' will be making his debut in the MCU in a little over a month and recent rumors have now suggested that the seeds for Spider-Man's entry will be sown throughout the movie.

The rumors link the villainous corporation Oscorp will be a topic of interest in the movie, which will consequently give them room to speak on the character.

It has already been stated that the character won't have an origin story, so the studio will have to find ways to work him in inconspicuously. These will only be mentions of the superhero however, as he won't physically show up until 'Captain America: Civil War,' and he is still yet to even be casted.

"The Sony/Marvel Spider-Man sharing deal wasn't announced until early this year, but Ant-Man will start planting the seeds for the character to make his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War as a fully-formed hero without an origin story retread. In the MCU, by the time Ant-Man occurs, Spider-Man exists," writes Latino-Review.

It is believed that Oscorp will tie in with the Carey Stoll character, an evil businessman who seeks to sell the Ant-Man technology.

"Corey Stoll's villainous businessman Darren Cross is attempting to sell the Ant-Man/Yellowjacket weapons technology to other corporations and organizations. The Ten Rings from Iron Man and Roxxon, a Marvel Comics corporation that has been name-dropped in all 3 Iron Man movies, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, Daredevil and a Marvel One Shot. This scene would be an excellent opportunity to introduce OsCorp into MCU," writes Latino-Review.

'Ant-Man' hits theaters on July 17.
