Nothing has been confirmed so far about the 6^th season of "American Horror Story," but fans of the series keep buzzing about it on various social media platforms.

Just recently, even actor Evan Peters himself revealed that he has not yet signed for "American Horror Story" season 6. However, his new bearded look tells a different story for fans.

The actor posted a photo of his bearded self on Instagram, triggering speculations that his new look has something to do with his role in the next installation of the series. Rumors have it that for the next season, the series will be back with a new theme, along with new characters and new storylines.

Asked about the new theme, show creator Ryan Murphy said, "The interesting thing about this season is we've been working on two ideas at once, which we've never done. So I don't want to say what it maybe is."

Though details about the season have been scarce, Murphy teased that season 6 will be largely influenced by "the opera." He also revealed the possibility that the season will revolve around children, although everything is still under development.

"If you look at horror tropes, the innocence of children, that sort of wide-eyed entryway into some world is always very dramatic and satisfying," Murphy said.

As for the characters, there are rumors that pop sensation Lady Gaga will play a crucial role in season 6.

"American Horror Story" season 6 is expected to premiere in October 2016 on FX.
