Recently confirmed is the return of the Amazing Spiderman to the big screen as Peter Parker's journey continues January 10, 2016. Gwen Stacy's death opens a brand new opportunity for Peter and the possibility of Mary Jane being introduced in the next installment.

With Gwen's formidable death in Amazing Spiderman 2, fans are curious to know how Peter is going to recover from the tragedy. Director Marc Webb teased that this is going to be a strong angle of the story, especially that Andrew Garfield's character is still tied up with his Spiderman alter ego.

Webb told Entertainment Weekly, "It's going to be really difficult for Peter Parker to move forward. But that's the challenge of it: How do you recover from that? That's going to play out in the next movie."

Details are yet to be confirmed as to who is going to portray Mary Jane in the next movie, but rumors are strong that Shailene Woodley, who also starred in Veronica Roth's Divergent adaption, will be given the role. It was reported that Woodley shot scenes as MJ in Amazing Spiderman 2, but those were not shown on the big screen.

"I shot three days and they were good scenes, but they were also like 45-second long scenes, and to introduce such a vital character like that doesn't make much sense in the end. In the beginning, I don't think it was something anybody ever really thought about, because it was just like, 'Okay, we'll introduce MJ in this one and bring her back in the next'," Woodley explained.

A fourth Amazing Spiderman movie is planned to be released on 2018.
