Even though the 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3' is scheduled for a far off 2018 release, lots of rumors and speculation about this highly-anticipated film are already circulating on the Internet.

One such rumor says that Emma Stone may be making a comeback as Gwen in the third installment of the Spidey movie franchise. According to a report by Fashion & Style, notwithstanding the tragic death of her character in the previous installment, Emma Stone may still appear as Gwen in next film, basing on several comic book plots. This piece of speculation has certainly delighted millions of Spider-Man fans across the globe.

The website further speculates that Gwen may possibly return in the form of a clone created by villain Jackal. Incidentally, the villain was Gwen's professor, who fell in love with her. Fashion & Style also speculated that Stone's character might possibly return in a flashback or dream sequence.

In addition, Fashion & Style also wrote about the chances and probability of the actress accepting the role of Spider-Woman. According to the report, "the alternate timeline of the "Spider-Verse" crossover sees Gwen being bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter."

Nevertheless, the website made it clear that these are sheer speculations and stated that director Marc Webb has already announced that the character is "gone for good."

In the meantime, a recent report by KDramaStars offers a hint of possibility, saying, "The recently announced 'Amazing Spider-Man' spin off, Venom Carnage Movie could have Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy return from the dead as the villain Carnage... as it was in the comic books."

Earlier, in an interview with Screenrant in May this year, Emma Stone talked about her character's supposed comeback in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' movies. When asked to comment whether it was her last time working with the production, she answered "I don't know... is it? There could be a-I don't know, there's a whole plotline that could happen that may bring her back."

However, fans will still have to wait a long while before they know whether Gwen will return in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3', as the movie will premiere in 2018.
