ABC Summer TV Schedule: Upcoming Premieres Include 'Whispers', 'Bachelor', 'Paradise in Summer', & More
ABC is adding several series to its summer lineup, which are unscripted. The network is adding the drama series "Whispers," as well as "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor in Paradise."
'Whispers' is a suspense thriller involving a group of kids in Washington, D.C., who are being manipulated to do dangerous things by a mysterious force. The show stars Lily Rabe, Barry Sloane and Milo Ventimiglia.
"The series hails from ABC Studios and Steven Spielberg's Amblin TV," says Variety, "Zack Estrin, Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey are executive producers."
FX will also be adding the series "500 Questions", which is a quiz show that is executive produced by Mark Burnett. Other game shows include "Celebrity Family Feud" which will be hosted by Steve Harvey, and "BattleBots" a robot competition show developed by Lloyd Braun's Whalerock industries.
"Celebrity Family Feud" will feature six episodes in which celebrities fight with their families in order to win money for charity. "Battlebots" features homemade robots, which fight each other until there is only one champion remaining.
There are a few shows that will be returning this summer as well. The dramas "Mistresses" and "Rookie Blue" will be coming back this summer, as well as reality series "Celebrity Wife Swap" and "Extreme Weight Loss".
In addition, the period drama "Astronaut Wives' Club" will also be airing this summer, although there is no premiere date as of yet.
