With a soulful and passionate conviction, Audra Lynn expresses her commitment and utmost desire to follow Jesus in her newest album "Vow." Her angelic and resonant voice instantly hooks the listener with eager expectation of the remaining tracks in the album. The album has a gospel sound and throughout the songs she powerfully demonstrates her big voice, clearly articulating her love for the Lord: "There isn't any other place I'd rather be than with you. My life is to be where you want me, an instrument of your will. There isn't any other thing I rather do than follow you."

Song number three played incessantly in my CD player, and as I listened to it I was reminded of the movie "August Rush" where the protagonist, a musical prodigy, tapped his guitar and effortlessly made beautiful music. This song has a similar ambient feel beginning with this same guitar-tapping technique. It had a rejuvenating effect on my mood, and it made me want to dance and worship.

Lynn sings beautifully about her love and reverence for the cross: "So I will take up my cross and I will follow, oh I will follow. Day by day and choice and by choice, I will follow. I will follow you Jesus. Your cross is the sweetest place."

Having a mentally draining and exhausting week, I admit this album was a catharsis for me. The lyrics and the music lifted my spirit and allowed me to again be reminded of God's love, which I have a tendency to forget. Most importantly, it allowed me to remember how much He sacrificed so that I may experience life more abundantly, and enthusiastically share that joy with others. "You've given me your song; you've given me your light. You've given me the grace to tarry through the night. My song, it is yours God. Come and sing, right through me." She then proceeds to sing her own version of "This little light of mine." Lynn reminds us of the significance of the Christian life: "I don't want to waste another day on things that pass on by and then fade away. For there's life inside your word and it tastes so sweet to me. Daily is the bread of your salvation and your water runs so free and it tastes so sweet to me."
