Inpop Records' punk/pop/rock band Superchic[k] breathes new life into their relentless search for the next young revolution on their upcoming release, Beauty From Pain, hitting stores March 29. This studio project comes from the band whose previous projects have inspired, empowered, and entertained with the call to rise above society's unhealthy trappings.

Beauty From Pain's first radio single, "Pure" hit the airwaves strong with 11 adds on R&R's Christian Rock chart and 19 adds on R&R's Christian CHR chart its first week out. "Pure" represents the album's in-depth look at Superchic[k]'s individual's lives over the past year, as every band member faced the breakup of a serious relationship. While these painful moments took root, the band naturally allowed the experiences to flow into songs.

"With each of us going through these painful experiences, we were able to expound on the emotions we were feeling and learn from the pain," describes deejay/producer Max Hsu.

Vocalist Tricia Brock says this of the focus for the project, "This album is more about where we are at right now. It makes the music more powerful. We are singing from the heart, full of emotion, showing people that we relate to those times when you don't understand God and life gets lonely."

No matter what the topic, the band reinvents musical avenues in order to pack more diversity, stylistic blends, and emotional range into each song. One such song, "Down From the Bottom" is an upbeat hip-hop track featuring guest vocalist tobyMac. This track blends elements of R&B and reggae grooves with tight hip-hop beats. "Down From the Bottom" is also featured on tobyMac's recent release, Welcome to Diverse City, titled "Stories."

Beauty From Pain would not be complete without what Superchic[k] is known for, which is fun, energy-popping punk tunes, such as the new track "Bowling Ball."

"This song is about girls dating guys that are in no way good for them," Tricia describes. "It says you need that boy like you need a bowling ball dropped on your head."

Since Superchic[k]'s silver screen debut on "Legally Blonde" with the song, "One Girl Revolution," the band has had their songs on more than 60 different film and television shows. Their music can be heard on films such as "The Glass House," "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," "Catch That Kid," "Legally Blonde 2" and the upcoming film "Stewart Little 3." They have also held many spots on television shows like Alias, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, The Practice, Nightline, Joan of Arcadia, and countless MTV programs.

This spring Superchic[k] will continue touring with speaker/author Josh McDowell on The Bold Truth Youth tour. Superchic[k] is featured throughout the evening, leading praise and worship at the beginning and at the end, and performing their full energetic set in the middle of the event.
