Big Daddy Weave's 'Live Like You Believe' tour recently rolled through Nashville, TN area. The concert was at First Baptist Church in Smyrna, TN and played to a packed house.
Jason Gray opened the night with humor and good music. I have never heard Jason before, but was impressed by his voice and music skills. It was clear though that his purpose in being there was to share the message that we are never too broken to be loved and used by God. Jason has a speech impediment and was very open about the fact that he stutters, but God is using him to lead worship every-night in front of hundreds of people. His story is inspiring and his music moving.
Rush of Fools was next on the bill and came rolling out with all their hits from their self titled debut album along with a great sampling from their latest album 'Wonder Of The World'. Even with the high energy and impressive light show they had going on it was clear that they had a heart for people with addictions. They spoke openly about how God can break addictions. The highlights of their set included the song 'You Are' and leading the audience in a moving rendition of 'You are Glory'. Rush of Fools are one of those bands that will be shaping the future of Christian music.
Big Daddy Weave brought the night to an end with a mixture of past hits and new songs. They are still proving that they have their place among Christian music legends. The night was a moving vision of their album 'What Life Would Be Like' if we all lived the message of Jesus.
