God Speaking, the highly anticipated sophomore solo recording by singer/songwriter Ronnie Freeman, will release at retail outlets nationwide January 8. God Speaking debuts on White Apron Entertainment, co-founded by Freeman, and will be distributed by Koch Distribution, the world's largest independent music distributor.
God Speaking features the hit title track, which remained in the Top 5 on national Inspirational radio charts for multiple weeks. Comprised of 11 songs written or co-written by Freeman, God Speaking was produced by Nathan Nockels (Passion, Chris Tomlin, Watermark), with the exception of the title cut, which was produced by Mark Hammond (Nichole Nordeman, Josh Groban). The project also features a special appearance by Christy Nockels (formerly of Watermark) on the Freeman-penned "My Inheritance," recently released to Christian AC and Inspirational radio.
"I hope these songs will inspire people to reflect," Freeman says, "to come to that crossroads of faith where they examine their own hearts and lives. I personally 'played church' for so long, and I want to call people out of that. I want to call them into a new place. A place, where together, we can hear God speaking."
"Ronnie Freeman is a quality, established artist in the Christian marketplace and we are thrilled to partner with him and White Apron Entertainment," said Barry Landis, president, Kosmos Records/a division of Koch Entertainment. "'God Speaking' is a song that has ministered to me and I look forward to helping Ronnie and his team maximize his music."
A highly sought-after songwriter, Freeman's songs have been recorded by Avalon, Mandisa and Daniel Kirkley, among others. He currently serves as an artist-in-residence at Nashville's Fellowship Bible Church, and is actively involved with JH Ranch in northern California, a camp which ministers to youth, families and singles every summer. Freeman began leading worship for Ranch attendees in the summer of 1999.
