Brooklyn Tabernacle Church in New York hosts Freddy Rodriguez, worship leader from Dallas, to lead the congregation in a Sunday afternoon worship service.

Freddy opened the service with the first song from his album 'LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS' called 'We lift our hands', which was followed by 'We are champions'.

During the song 'Wrap me in your arms', the congregation stood with hands lifted up to receive the love of God and worship Him with grateful hearts.

In the middle of the worship, Freddy shared his testimony: "I've been a worship leader for about 12 years. But I was born in a broken home. Mom gave love to me, but you know in a very young age I was hanging up with gangs. While others were in school, I was smoking, was in cocaine. I was selling it for my own addiction to stay high."

He continued: "Many times I woke up by people slapping me up, until 19 years old. I had to leave because otherwise I would die. I had no idea I would lead people in worship. I have been serving the Lord since I have experienced the spirit of the Lord and my passion is for people to experience this spirit. It's been some tears and pain, but there is glory in there. In the cross of Jesus, there was glory of the cross."

"I stay until today to testify, as the broken person testifying the Lord. And thankful to God I can write these songs," concluded Freddy.

The song 'I will run' followed the testimony drawing the congregation to run towards the Lord no matter what situation we're in, and transforming everything for the glory of the Lord.

The service was concluded joyfully with the song 'Rejoice' reminding us the verses from Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!"
