WOW, WE WON A DOVE AWARD!
Hey friends-
We just received news last night that we won a Dove Award for Bluegrass song of the Year for our single, "He's in Control."
We are so excited and so thankful to the Lord for allowing our music to be heard and that others are able to hear the gospel and a message of hope through our songs.
We can't tell you how humbled we are to win such an award and most of all we can't tell you how humbled we are in the way that God uses us. Last night right after we learned about the Dove Award, we helped lead worship at a crusade with Jamey Ragle where over 1800 people attended, 60 people gave their lives to Christ, and 15 people rededicated their lives to the Lord. Not that its about numbers, but we're humbled that God even allows us to be in the room when things like this happen.
We are so thankful to all of you out there who are more than just our fans, but are fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, that have supported and loved us and have really accepted our music. We are so blessed! We couln't do it without you....
Praise to the Lord for this!

2008 is HERE!
Wow. I can't believe that '07 is out and '08 is here! As I sit here reflecting on everything that happened over the last 12 months I'm amazed at how much we have learned and experienced as a group. I mean, think back to where you were one year ago today and try to remember how much has happened since then. (Insert Wayne's World sound effect..doodley doodley doodley doodley) And we're back. It's unbelievable huh?
First of all we would like to thank all of you. All the churches and families who have made us feel like we were home even though at times we were so far from it. Austins Bridge started just over a year ago. I remember our first few shows like they were yesterday. Loading our guitars and luggage into the old '94 Buick and praying that it wouldn't fall apart by the time we made it to the venue. Then a few months later the Lord blessed us with a van. WOW!!! We all still talk about that one. Thanks Friendship Baptist Church! After a while we were in need of some sound equipment and again the Lord provided for us through your generosity. Meanwhile we were becoming more and more busy and eventually needed to stop working our 'other' jobs. I'll be honest, there were many times where we all sat in our living rooms and prayed for God to provide a way for us to pay our bills because we didn't see how it was going to happen. And inevitably it was many of you all who helped us out through those times. Thank you thank you thank you!
Often times we talk about what compels us to continue to travel and write new songs and it's always a story about how one of you pulled us aside and shared how God had spoken to your hearts through something we said. It's the emails you send pouring out your soul to reveal a painful story in which we somehow played a role. It's the MySpace messages from you encouraging us to press on. And it's those intimate moments of worship when we sometimes have the privilege of being able to stand back and see God move in and through you. We are no longer on a stage or platform but we are all on level ground sharing in the blanket of God's love and His presence. And we get to share that with you.
We have seen the best and the worst in this year. We have been through some tremendous highs and some incredible lows. But in the end we have grown as a group. We have learned how to lean on each other. How to be honest with each other how work with each other. We have truly become a family for each other. We have seen people come to know Jesus for the first time. We have seen people grow and come closer to the Lord. We have seen God move. We can't wait to see what happens next year.
Blessings to you!
Jason
