'Tis the season! Christmas is fast approaching and it's almost time to start bringing out the holiday tunes. At the top of music wish lists everywhere will surely be Anthony Evans' first-ever Christmas project, What Christmas Means. Releasing October 6th and distributed by INO Records, these timeless songs are warmly wrapped with holiday cheer, all led with Evans' powerful, soulful, and exceptional voice. Evans also produced the project alongside Brandon Hood.

Offering a unique twist to timeless holiday classics "Little Drummer Boy," "O Holy Night," and "Do You Hear What I Hear," along with the original tune "Immanuel," penned by Chad Cates and Tony Wood, Evans also covers contemporary classics of today such as "This Christmas" and Grown Up Christmas List." This collection conjures the rare but familiar atmosphere of holiday joy like most seasonal compilations, yet with Anthony Evans' involvement, each song is tied to his own family holiday memories, along with his signature penchant for looking deeper.

"I made this record for my family," exclaims Evans. "My fondest memories of the holidays are built around our family's love of listening to Christmas music, and this album celebrates those memories. And with the variety of songs offered on this CD, I also want to invite the listener in to enjoy their own holiday memories, while reminding them of what Christmas really means."

What Christmas Means is just not the project's title but it's a question people must compile for themselves, and Evans' definition can be found not only within these songs but in every heart-felt note he sings. What better way to acknowledge Evans' fresh and undisguised approach to worship-filled music than to celebrate, in song, the birth the One who introduced the world to living truthful, without pretense.

The project's first single will be "Immanuel," which will soon be shipping to radio for the Christmas season airplay. Evans is also filming a music video for the single, with up-and-coming director Steven Lester behind the lens.
